Some wild fruits! Vibrant strawberries and raspberries, totally up for a good meal. This tempranillo comes from our partner Vicente Plantvid in Valencia, Spain.

Tempranillo from Plantvid, Valencia (ES).

Batch of 1733 bottles.

Alc. 12.5%

Valencia’s friendly climate is characterized by an easy breeze but comfortable temperatures. That makes it a true walhalla for growing grapes. Many different grapes are grown here.

Ever heard of a full bodied grape? Well, here you got one. Tempranillo is black Spanish grape that got its name from the Spanish word ‘temprano’ (early). It calls for harvest a few weeks earlier then all other red Spanish grapes. Which is great for flavour but not so great for planning logistics as an urban winery.

What’s so experimental about it?

The Wild Horse was aged according to the roble technique: aging the wine for a short period of time on oak.

The story behind the bottle

This may have been the trip of good ideas. It’s the trip Remy and Jos made to Valencia, where they joined a tempranillo roble style together and where the idea of their own winery was born. Apart from drinking temperanillo roble style, they went horseback riding, roble style of course. Which led to the roble name of their first wine.

Dinner ideas

Pull out the barbecue! The Wild Horse goes well with anything grilled. Whether it’s meat, vegetables or your mother in law.
