Mayor's Choice '23

Grown by Roger Grifoll Declara in the schist soils of Priorat, this organic garnacha comes from a sunny vintage of exceptionally ripe, hand picked fruit. After fermenting and resting eight months in stainless steel, it spends four more in seasoned French oak, just enough to add warmth without smothering the fruit. The result is a rounded, full bodied red from the 2023 vintage, bottled at 14% alcohol, layered with vibrant cherry and a long, gently tannic finish, generous enough to reward a few years in the cellar and confident enough to have earned a Silver medal at Decanter 2025.

Grilled steaks, lamb chops, spicy sausages, game such as duck, deer, or wild boar, paella, tomato-based stews, various tapas, and aged cheeses like manchego, parmesan, or blue cheese.
