Very lucky blend of two of our favourite grapes of all time. A dash of cabernet sauvignon, adding some dark intensity to the juicy pepperiness of the syrah. Will still evolve in the next five years.
Batch of 2469 bottles
80% syrah + 20% cabernet sauvignon grown by Daan and Elvire Dijkman in Carpentras (Provence), France.
Syrah grapes is the most planted red grape, after cabernet sauvignon (which is also in this blend). It’s quite dark of colour and usually grows in more Northern areas of France, such as La Côte Rôtie.
Cabernet Sauvignon - makes a full-bodied red wine with flavours of dark fruits. It often has savoury tastes from black peppers to bell pepper.
