100% Gamay

Made in the heart of the Loire Valley by Chateau La Variere, this Gamay is vinified the classic way for reds built to be enjoyed young. After a short, gentle time on the lees, the wine moves straight to steel, kept far from oak so nothing gets in the way of its fruit. The result is a fresh, juicy red from the 2022 vintage, bottled at 12% alcohol, bursting with cherry and strawberry, its tannins ripe and rounded, its acidity bright enough to make every sip feel like summer.

Serve it slightly cool, around 14 to 16 degrees, and let it carry a summer picnic: a cheese board, cured meats, or chicken straight off the grill. Its light body and bright red fruit never fight the food, they just keep the afternoon going.
